Where do we do it?
There are several well established riding centers with very experienced guides and instructors that can either give you basic and advanced lessons or take you along carefully planned routes using cork cutters’ tracks through the forests and old smugglers’ trails down to the beach.
Local treks can either be along the beaches, through the Los Alcornocales National Park, or a mixture of both. Whatever your level there will be a route to suit!
When can I do it?
Tarifa has the ideal climate for horse riding all year round and especially rom October until May the area around Tarifa and all along the Costa de La Luz is a rider’s paradise. The countryside is at its best, the weather is perfect and the rugged country and long white sandy beaches are just made for exploring on horseback.
In the winter it rarely drops below 15 degrees and in the summer the Mediterranean and Atlantic winds will keep you cool.
