Roman Ruins – Bolonia
Bolonia is one of the most 5 beautiful beaches in Europe. Bolonia is a small ex fishing and farming village 20km north from Tarifa and 20km south of Zahara de los Atunes. It is the site of one of the three most important Roman archaeological excavations in Andalucía, along with Italica outside Sevilla and Acinipo outside Ronda. Sitting directly on the coast, Bolonia is a beautiful site to visit, with both stunning views and ancient ruins.
Baelo Claudia – Roman Ruins
The Roman city of Baelo Claudia in Bolonia is one of the best surviving examples of an ancient Roman town in Spain. It has been beautifully restored and preserved because of the good general conservation of the ruins, their easy interpretation and the beauty of their surroundings.
Besides beautiful beaches and roman ruins, in Bolonia you can visit small local cheese factory, the cave Cueva del Moro with beautiful views on Tarifa and Bolonia and you can enjoy many different hiking routes.
We organize guided tours in Bolonia (Roman Ruins, Hikings) all year – totally personalized (depending on the size of group, day trip, half-day trip, cultural visit, only hiking, etc).
