Why do it?

Has throwing a line in the water always felt a little boring? It’s a pretty passive activity, mostly requiring patience. Screw that, get in the water and take the fight to the fish.

Spearfishing is an ancient method of fishing that has been used throughout the world for millennia. Early civilizations were familiar with the custom of spearing fish from rivers and streams using sharpened sticks. Today modern spearfishing makes use of elastic powered spearguns and slings, or compressed gas pneumatic powered spearguns, to strike the hunted fish. Specialised techniques and equipment have been developed for various types of aquatic environments and target fish.

Where we do it?

Spearfishing can be done in Punta Paloma (10km from Tarifa town) and Bolonia (20km from Tarifa town). For those who know how to do it we advice locations and conditions for spearfishing.

When can we do it?

All year round when the wind and the currents are not too strong. We don’t offer lessons for spearfishing.

Anything else?

By Spanish legislation you can do any kind of fishing only with fishing licence.
